Astrodate is an Apple^® iPhone™ application that provides the current date in various forms that are useful for astronomers and other scientists. These forms include the Julian Date (JD), Modified Julian Date (MJD), and Gregorian calender displayed in ISO 8601 standard formats.

The times given are only as accurate as the internal clock on the iPhone. Therefore the fractional part of the various Julian Date is only given to six decimal places for a maximum accuracy of eighty-six milliseconds, and the fractional part of the ISO 8601 dates is only given to the millisecond.
